When it comes to goals, many coaches ask what you want to achieve then they work out a plan (or copy and paste a plan they already have), and say go for it! At Braveheart, we do things differently.
We follow an approach that Coach Chris developed called “Raising the BAAR”
First, we start (or rather end) with the first R, which stands for the RESULTS. What results do you want to achieve? Do you want to run an ultra, eat more consciously, or simply live more healthfully? Any result that you want to achieve is 100% valid, and we are here to help you achieve those. BUT we are not done yet.
To get those results, we have to figure out what ACTIONS you need to take to achieve those results. At Braveheart, this not only refers to a program but also the behaviors, habits, neural pathways, and life scheduling, that supports the actions that will lead you one step closer to your dream results.
Those actions, however, stem from emotions (or AFFECT), which we need to get in touch with to get you closer to your results. Emotions are powerful. If you feel sad, your actions like body language, food choices, etc. change; but, if you are happy, then your actions change as well. This is not a matter of controlling your emotions–that is impossible. Rather it is feeling and being with your emotions so that do not allow them to control you and derail your goals.
This means that you may need to change your BELIEFS. In most cases, emotions can stem from how you think about the world. Negative beliefs lead like “I’m not good at this” “I can’t do that” “I’m fat and always will be” “People will think…” will lead to negative emotions which will change your behaviors, and finally affect your results.
Beliefs also are tied to possibly the most important aspect of coaching and our program: YOUR WHY. Before we even give you workouts or tasks, we need to figure out why you want to achieve those results and goals. This takes work but we have tools to help you uncover this drive. Once that vision and drive is in place, the rest of the process can begin.
As you can see, our program dives deeper than most online programs. It sounds like a lot of work, but a lot of work is what it takes to achieve greatness.
